We’re so happy you can join us in taking a mindful minute, or in this case an entire hour, to refocus and destress during this time. 

We know that the COVID-19 pandemic has caused there to be a lot of financial burdens on families so we are offering up all our material free of charge.

What You’ll Need:


Please find a relaxing comfortable spot in your house. This place can be your bed room, your backyard, or even your car if there is too much going on in your house! You’ll need a notebook, something to write with, and anything else that makes you feel comfortable and safe such as candles, pillows, blankets, etc. 


What we’ll cover:

  • Mind opening journal prompts
  • Productive things to do when you’re bored and quarantined
  • breathwork


Before we get started let’s just talk about what’s happening:

There’s the Coronavirus itself. There is actually a global pandemic that is traveling very quickly with a lot of unknowns. The best thing that we can possibly do is stay home and social distance, wash our hands and follow medical protocol.


The second thing that’s happening, which is what Tori and I are calling ‘spiritual coronavirus’ is this feeling of great unrest and uncertainty that’s happening as we’re all being asked to massively change our daily lives, stay home and quarantine. So how do we manage our stress in times of uncertainty.  Stress and emotions are going to be all over the place during this so just recognizing that it’s okay to feel amazing one day and absolutely terrible the next. Honoring what your body is needing from you, and trying to get fresh air, even if it’s sitting next to an open window!


If you’re practicing social distancing we know how hard that can be. Sitting alone with your thoughts during a pandemic like this can trigger a lot of emotions. Or, if your house is busy and crowded, it can be hard to find some internal peace. Regardless of which situation you’re in, we’ve created a list of things that you can do around your house that are productive and fun!


Here’s a list of productive things that you can do while you’re quarantining: (we could read every other one)


  1. Go through all the clothes in your closet and clean out all the items that you don't wear! Truth is, if you haven't worn it in a year, there's a good chance you won't wear it at all. Then, when the social distancing is over, donate the clothes to those in need!⁠

  1. Cook something delicious! Have you ever gone through the random ingredients in your kitchen and see what kind of dish you can make? It's pretty fun! Even though I'm not very good at, it is still a delicious version of creative expression.⁠


  1. Call a friend or family member that you need to catch up with! Everyone is chilling at home right now and it's the perfect time to check in on people!⁠

4.Journal day by day! Writing is an excellent release! When you put all your feelings on a page it helps you to organize them!⁠

  1. Make a fort in your living room and watch a shit ton of movies! Im saying put the blankets, pillows, and popcorn on the floor and get really cozy! ⁠


  1. Reorganize your make-up or jewelry! If you’re like me then you’re holding onto things that you just don’t need anymore! Sift through either one and either throw out pieces or give good quality pieces away!


  1. Learn a skill from You-tube! This is the perfect time to take your energy and refocus it on educating yourself. Have you ever wanted to learn how to edit photos? What about cooking a vegan lasagna? When you concentrate on a skill then you’re not focusing on fears. 


  1. Rearrange the furniture in a room! Sometimes reorganizing your space helps to reorganize your mind. You’ll literally see things differently. It’s never a bad idea to switch places of your bed and your dresser to help give your bedroom a new vibe.


  1. You-tube a workout video! There are so many free fitness videos on You-tube! Working out helps to release endorphins and give you a great mood boost!


  1. Plan a surprise party for one of your family members or partner, have a birthday for someone even if its 4 months away, or plan a date night at home, dress up with your lova. You could be celebrating their birthday thats 4 months away, St. Patrick's day, or just the fact that they’re amazing!


Journal Prompts:


It’s always helpful to do something that relaxes you before you start to journal such as stretching or taking a few deep breaths. This can help free up space in your mind and help remove self judgement so you can write freely. Your job is to just write, don’t criticize your thoughts or ideas. Just write. 


  1.   The first thought that comes to my mind today is________?




  1.   This thought makes me feel__________?




  1.   I have been giving a lot of my energy to_______________.




  1.   I want to be giving my energy to___________.




  1.   I feel tension in my body. I feel it in my ______________.  




  1.   I will release this tension by ___________________.



Now take 5 breaths.

 Breathe in for 2 seconds, 

pause for 2 seconds, 

exhale for 4 seconds, 

pause for 2 seconds. 



You are here, you are in the now, and you are safe. You are allowed to feel everything you are feeling without judgement and you are capable of feeling happy.


  1.   Imagine a place that brings you ultimate peace. This is a quiet place that only you know about, it’s your personal paradise. What does that place look like? Why does it make you happy. Describe it in detail.


  1.   How does it feel to be in this place? Do you need the space for yourself? Who would your ally be in this space, is anyone joining you? 


Now that we’re in our personal paradise we encourage you to sit with yourself freely. You are always welcome back to this place if you need peace.


  1. What are you grateful for?


  1. What have you accomplished? Let this list be as long as you can make it! Give yourself a lot of credit. 


  1. Is there anything weighing on your mind? If so, what is it?


  1. What would it feel like if you put that weight down?


  1. What can you do to make your soul feel lighter?


  1. You are worthy. List all the reasons you are deserving of love.


Now take 5 breaths.

 Breathe in for 2 seconds, 

pause for 2 seconds, 

exhale for 4 seconds, 

pause for 2 seconds. 



  1. How do you feel now?



The personal paradise is judgement free, it is safe, and it is all yours. You can go back there and connect with your thoughts anytime you need. You have the key. 


If you feel a little tired after those prompts, don’t worry! That’s totally normal. In time you will feel the benefits and feel refreshed. If you feel full of energy, that’s great! Now you can enter back into life feeling recharged!
